Parents
Parents are plentiful, this is for sure,
but not all walk as wise and mature.
Some see children as a reason to live,
only pressure and heartache will this give.
Others see children as a cord to bind,
but marriages aren't made by children you'll find.
Yet there are others who together in love,
share their lives as a hand in a glove.
With closeness of heart as husband and wife,
to make of their children fruit of their life.
These children are blessed beyond compare,
for they have parents that are truly rare.
I know of the blessings of which I speak,
for I have parents that are truly unique.
Precious and lovely are the memories I hold,
the depths of my thankfulness could not be told.
